B&B HOBBY NIGHT & BLITZFIRE EVENT RULES

Welcome to Hobby Night and Blitzfire! These events are built around safety, sportsmanship, and having fun with fellow foam flinging enthusiasts. By participating, you agree to follow all event rules and staff instructions.

***THESE RULES APPLY TO ALL PARTICIPANTS, REGARDLESS OF ROLE WITH B&B, INCLUDING MODERATORS AND STAFF***

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

  • All participants must have a signed waiver on file before participating.

  • Closed-toe shoes are required at all times.

  • Eye protection is mandatory while in the arena and any active play area.

  • Players are expected to keep all equipment in staging area or in the dedicated white cubbies.

  • No equipment will be permitted to be left on the launch pad area or in the DJ booth.

  • Participants will not reach over into DJ booth for any reason.

***We will be taking a break for dinner from 6-7PM during Blitzfire, during this time, no game play will be permitted***

RULE #1: DON'T BE A JERK

Treat everyone with respect.

Don't be a jerk, dingus, or otherwise unpleasant human.

Remember:

  • This is a game.

  • This is not real combat.

  • There are no trophies.

  • We are all here to have fun.

SAFETY FIRST

Safety is our highest priority.

  • No hitting, pushing, shoving, or physical contact.

  • Follow all staff and referee instructions immediately.

  • When a moderator, referee, or owner ends a discussion, the discussion is OVER.

  • Do not argue with staff or referees.

  • Do not look for loopholes in these rules or game rules.

  • Referees have the FINAL SAY!

PROPER TERMINOLOGY

We encourage proper foam dart terminology:

  • Blasters, not guns.

  • Darts, not bullets.

  • Tagged, not shot or killed.

GETTING TAGGED

When you are tagged:

  • Call your tag honestly!

  • Immediately raise your hand and/or blaster above your head.

  • Exit or follow the game mode's rules.

Raising your hand and blaster lets other players know you are out and helps prevent unnecessary additional tags.

Remember: Foam flinging games operate largely on the honor system. This is not paintball or laser tag.

Referees may occasionally call a tag that you did not feel or notice. Referee decisions are final and are not subject to debate.

RESPECT THE ARENA

Respect the field and equipment.

  • Do not climb on walls.

  • Do not move obstacles.

  • Do not jump, bounce, or launch yourself off arena structures, this includes the walls.

  • Report damaged equipment or safety concerns to staff immediately.

DART SWEEPS

All players are required to participate in dart sweeps.

Dart sweeps are mandatory.

Helping collect darts keeps games running smoothly and allows everyone more play time.

APPROVED BLASTERS

  • HPA and LPA blasters are permitted after staff inspection and approval.

  • No CO2 systems.

  • No gas-powered systems of any kind.

  • All blasters must pass a chronograph (chrono) test before use.

  • Blasters must average 150 FPS or less during chrono testing.

  • Any blaster that records a single shot over 160 FPS will fail inspection immediately and will not be approved for use until adjusted and retested.

  • Approved blasters will be marked with an event zip tie indicating they have passed inspection.

  • Do not remove, alter, or tamper with an approval zip tie during the event.

  • Staff reserves the right to re-chrono any blaster at any time.

  • Staff reserves the right to deny any blaster deemed unsafe, even if it meets FPS requirements.

FACE TAGS

Please do your best to avoid intentionally tagging players in the face.

However, face tags can and will occur during gameplay and should be expected from time to time. This is one reason eye protection is mandatory.

KEEP IT FAMILY FRIENDLY

We may have younger players and families present.

The following will not be tolerated:

  • Excessive profanity

  • Harassment

  • Threats

  • Intimidation

  • Bullying

  • Unsportsmanlike conduct

  • Drama directed at players, staff, or guests

Keep language and behavior appropriate for a family-friendly environment.

ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY

B&B is a welcoming environment for everyone.

Any racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise hateful language, behavior, or harassment will not be tolerated.

This is a safe place for all humans, and we intend to keep it that way.

ENFORCEMENT

Failure to follow any of these rules may result in:

  • Removal from the current game

  • Removal from the event

  • Removal from the facility without refund

  • Suspension from future events

  • Permanent ban from future events

Be safe.

Be respectful.

Listen to staff.
